Hallo liebes Forum, ich habe von meiner Englischlehrerin den Auftrag erhalten bis Ende des Monats einen Songtext meiner Wahl zu analysieren, wo ich beschreibe, was der Verfasser ausdruecken will und wie mich der Text persoenlich betrifft. Des weiteren will sie, dass ich zu dem Inhalt des songs eine Art Fotocollage mache und beschreibe wo bei der Arbeit meine Schwierigkeiten lagen. Mein erster Gedanke ging natuerlich in Richtung Iron Maiden, vor allem Songs wie Wasted years oder Brighter than a thousand suns bieten sich gut an. Allerdings hat ein Kumpel von mir fuer das Projekt schon vor, einen maidentext zu analysieren und daher wuerde ich gerne wissen, ob ihr noch eine Idee zu einem Songtext aus dem Rock/metal-Bereich habt, den ich benutzen koennte. Im Sinn kamen mir zunaechst "Come away Melinda" von UFO, "Tears of the dragon" von bruce Dickinson, "Rebellion" von Grave Digger und "Under the bridge" von den Red Hot Chili Peppers. Was haltet ihr davon und welcher andere Text liesse sich noch gut analysieren? Danke im Voraus fuer eure Hilfe.

Mit Brucie's Tears of the Dragon kann man eigentlich auch nix falsch machen.

Ich würds mit Texten von Sonata Arctica, Dark Tranquillity, Dream Theater oder In Flames versuchen. Beste Lyrik, die ich im Metal-Bereich kenne, mehrdeutig, mystisch und mit viel Interpretationsspielraum. Gerade die Sonata Arctica Texte sprechen einem irgendwie an, trotzdem wird man nicht ganz schlau um was es jetzt genau geht.

Master of Puppets ist echt eine gute Idee. Ansonsten fiele mir da noch ein: Savatage - Believe, Helloween - I want out, Deep Purple - Child in Time oder was von Sonata Arctica.

Metallica - One Sehr guter, ernster Text, der wohl gut zu Interpretieren ist und wahrscheinlich auch gut beim Lehrer ankommt. Außerdem könntest Du Bilder von dem Film/Video in der Collage verwenden.

Danke fuer die guten Tipps. Habe extrem lange ueberlegt, aber letztlich "Tears of the dragon" von Bruce genommen, da laesst sich viel hineininterpretieren und die Bilder fuer die collage habe ich auch organisiert.

Kannst ja nach getaener Arbeit dein Werk dann noch hier ins Netz stellen, mal sehen ob du von uns die gleiche (objektive) Note erhälst wie von deiner Lehrerin
