Zitat Rush: The Documentary: tentative May 18th DVD release
Late last month we received confirmation that the long-anticipated Rush documentary had finally been completed and would be released this Spring - most likely at a film festival(s). Then last week we received word via TNMS member Oz that the theatrical premier would occur at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York which runs from April 21st through May 2nd although this has not yet been confirmed. Oz also mentioned that they were discussing a September-ish DVD release date and that this info came straight from filmmaker Scot McFadyen. This was consistent with earlier reports I had heard that the DVD would be released towards the end of this year. However, Power Windows is now reporting that Rounder films has a tentative release date of May 18th for the documentary and that we can expect an official announcement shortly. Hopefully this information is accurate; the earlier the better!

The Rush documentary now has an official title; Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. It is included as one of the 14 films featured in the TFF '10 Encounters section and has a running time of 106 minutes. Denk aber daran, dass der Film von den selben Machern wie "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" sowie Maiden's "Flight 666" ist. Zumal Rush auch wesentlich bekannter sind als Anvil, ich würde sagen fast so bekannt wie Maiden, allerdings mehr in Übersee.
Und, liefen Flight666 oder Headbangers Journey in vielen Kinos? Ich weiß es nicht
Ich hoffe einfach das die DVD nicht allzu lange auf sich warten laesst

Soweit ich mich erinnere, lief Flight 666 allein schon in mehreren Kinos hier im Ruhrgebiet. Ob das bei Rush jetzt genauso sein wird, wird sich zeigen.

absolut! Nervt mich schon seit über 25 Jahren: Was hörst Du gerne? Rush? Wer ist das? Jennifer Rush?
Oh ja, bisher hatte niemand den ich persönlich kenn überhaupt einen Schimmer wer Rush sind. Einzig nen Prog Rocker den ich mal getroffen hab, aber da ist es wohl kein Wunder, schließlich sind Rush ne feste Größe in dem Bereich. Ich frag mich auch woran es liegen mag. Touren die Jungs einfach nicht genug in Europa? Oder ist die Musik nicht so "ansprechend" für Europäer? Nicht genug Promotion? Mir isses ein Rätsel.

LOL ich würde mal ganz schwer behaupten, dass Rush deutlich härter sind als andere Kollegen aus dem Prog Rock-Bereich wie Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, ELP... ach, da könnte ich noch viele aufzählen. Von daher kaum nachvollziehbar.
Allerdings. Rush sind auch viel heavier als SAGA, da Rush halt rockiger spielen und weniger (viel weniger) Keyboards am Start haben als SAGA. War mir auch immer ein Raetsel warum Rush allgemein so unbekannt sind. Andererseits haben Rush in der Heavy und Prog Szene einen verdammt guten Ruf, denke das ist mehr wert als 2 mal am Tag Closer To The Heart im Radio zu hoeren
