Der Mix von "A Tyranny of Souls", dem sechsten Solo-Album von Iron Maiden Sänger Bruce Dickinson, ist abgeschlossen. Das erste Album seit dem 1998er "The Chemical Wedding" wurde von Roy Z. geschrieben (nachdem er seine Arbeit an "Angel Of Retribution" von Judas Priest abgeschlossen hatte), die Texte verfasste Dickinson in den Hotelzimmern während der letzten Welttournee von Iron Maiden. Trotz der Rückkehr zu den Jungfrauen soll das Album komplett anders klingen als die Musik seiner Hauptband und den Weg von "The Chemial Wedding" weiter führen.

was ich mir persönlich nicht vorstellen könnte ...denn das sieht kacke aus ganz ehrlich gesagt

Ich finde das Cover besser als z.B. Dance of Death. Das Cover hat wenigstens irgendeine Aussagekraft im Gegensazu zum miserablem DOD Artwork.

Ich muß dir zustimmen Wickerman. Das Cover hat irgendwas. Wenn es das auch sein sollte!?! Und das DoD Cover hat mich auch enttäuscht. Die sollten Derek Riggs wieder an die Pinsel lassen, das ist meine ganz ehrliche Meinung.

njaa, cih weiß zwar auch net was das ist, aber hey, es sieht wirklich besser aus als des dod cover - nur ob se derek riggs nochmal an den pinsel, bzw. photoshop bekommen ist fraglich...

Sanctuary Records has set a May 24 U.S. release date (one day earlier internationally) for the new solo album from IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson, entitled "Tyranny of Souls".

Dickinson is an artist who has influenced thousands of singers, musicians and fans alike in his outstanding role as the front man of legendary band IRON MAIDEN. He has achieved great success as a solo artist, and is also acclaimed as a radio DJ, TV presenter, pilot, author and voice of modern music.

Bruce' neue Scheibe ist nun im Internet aufgetaucht... ich habe sie bereits und auch schon gehört - zweigeteilter Eindruck - ein paar Songs gefallen mir gut, andere sind eher durchwachsen, aber man muss sich wohl reinhören. Die Produktion ist n büschen lasch, die drums plätschern geradezu im hintergrund.

2 Lieder kann man auf der Screamforme-Site "anhören", Aduction und Soul Intruders.
Also ich find das hört sich gar nicht schlecht an. Um mehr zu sagen muß man logischerweise erstmal die ganze CD, und auch diese in Ruhe hören. Aber ich freu mich schon auf den 23.Mai.

jo, die ersten 2 lieder hören sich schon sehr vielversprechend an. Sogar eine doublebass drum ist zu hören(geil!)

Vor allem "Abduction" klingt ja saugeil. Wäre schön wenn mal ein Maidenalbum wieder so druckvoll und kompakt klingen würde.

Ich weiß zwar nicht wie die anderen Songs klingen, aber wenn sie den Standard von Abduction und Soul Intruders halten können, sehe ich keine Probleme für Dickinson hier und da ne goldene Schallplatte zu kriegen. Super Arbeit!

Auf ein neues Maidenalbum werden wir ja wohl noch lange warten können. Bruce wird mit seinem Soloalbum die Meßlatte für seine Kollegen sehr hoch auflegen. Es wäre mal wieder Zeit für ein Maidenalbum das alle Kritiker verstummen läßt.
Machen wir uns nichts vor, das sind Wunschträume. Aber wenn Dickinson beim nächsten IM Album genauso Herzblut reinlegt und Steve, Adrian und Janick das selbige tun, müßte wenigstens ne einigermaßen starke Scheibe dabei rauskommen. Wenn das mal bis Ende 2006 passiert...!?!

Auf jeden Fall wird "A Tyranny of souls" ne Scheibe werden die, man sich zulegen sollte.

Wirklich sehr beeindruckend diese kurzen Ausschnitte. Da bekommt man Lust auf mehr.

Für mich ganz klar ein Grund, die Scheibe mal anzuhören und nach durchzappen der kompletten Titel sehr wahrscheinlich auch zu kaufen.

Am 23. Mai stehe ich im Laden. Garantiert.
