One of the biggest hard rock bands ever, returns to Norway and Telenor Arena

The album "The Final Frontier" is already a huge success worldwide. A week after release the album so far gone in the 1st place in 27 countries, from Arabia and India in the east to Canada in the west, throughout Europe to Latin America. Iron Maiden was formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris. Since their album debut in the early 1980's, the band achieved success on success thanks to their ever-growing number of loyal fans. The band expanded to six members in 1999, when singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith joined the band again and the lineup was: Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers, Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain (forruten course, Eddie, the band's mascot that adorn each album cover and turnèbakteppe). Their first album together was the critically acclaimed album "Brave New World" which was published in 2000.

As you will all know, Maiden will continue the Final Frontier World Tour extensively into 2011 and their return to the Nordics can now be announced with the confirmed dates as follows and onsale details and Fan Club pre-sale details below:
Friday July 1st - Gothenburg Ullevi Stadium, SWEDEN Wednesday July 6th - Oslo Telenor, NORWAY Friday July 8th - Helsinki Olympic Stadium, FINLAND
PLUS June 30 - July 3 -Roskilde Festival, DENMARK
The Iron Maiden Fan Club pre-sale for the Sweden, Norway and Finland shows will start on MONDAY 27th September - details will be posted shortly on the homepage. Tickets go on sale to the public on THURSDAY 30th September. (Note that Roskilde Festival goes on sale later in the year - we'll let you know when!)
The Final Frontier album was hugely successful in all the Nordics, being the number one album in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. In Norway and Finland it remained No 1 for 3 weeks and in Sweden, after being No 1 for 2 weeks, dropped to 2 before returning to No 1 again! It was also Maiden's FOURTH consecutive No 1 album there and third in Finland. The album is already Platinum in Finland and gold in Sweden and Norway.
Fans are advised to move quickly if they wish to buy tickets -- last time (2008) the two stadium shows, Ullevi Gothenburg (53,000) and Helsinki's Olympic Stadium (45,000), sold out in just a couple of hours

Somit bin ich nun überzeugt, dass Maiden im 2011 ans Openair Jonschwil (Schweiz) kommen werden...mein Tontechniker-Kollege hat mir das schon vor 3 Monaten gepredigt, er habe das so vom Veranstalter gehört....jetzt glaube ich ihm das Ganze auch...

ich glaub die geben das bekannt was auch zu 100% bestätigt ist..da hängt logistisch einiges dahinter bis div. Termine spruchreif sind..kleine club tourneen sind im verhältnis wie in der größenordnung von maiden schnell gebucht..grad openair konzerte sind ein riesen bürokratischer aufwand
Glaub ich nicht. Gerade deshalb weil's so eine Größenordnung ist, glaub ich nicht dass die Tourdates noch nicht (zumindest zum großen Teil) stehen. Die müssen ja auch die ganze Logistik planen, wann sie wo spielen...

Ich hoffe die Wahrscheinlichkeit liegt bei 0 %. Alles andere wäre enttäuschend. Das hieße, wieder nur 1 Konzert bei uns. Gegen Iron Maiden am Hockenheimring im Rahmen von einem Sonisphere Festival hätte ich aber nichts + 2-3 Hallenshows.
Ich finde es ist genau umgekehrt, die jungen Fans möchten die alten Sachen hören und die alten möchten lieber neue SOngs hören, weil Sie die Standards schon zu oft gehört haben....
So mag ich es selber auch........
