Ich denke, über Dream Theater kann man sich nicht beklagen. Klar, Geschmäcker sind immer subjektiv - deswegen gefallen auch die nicht jedem, aber es ist immerhin ein anderes Kaliber als viele der anderen Vorbands der letzten Jahre.
Bin mal auf die hoffentlich noch folgende Europatour gespannt und wer da Vorband sein wird. :>
BTW: Lauren Harris ist auch mal wieder dabei auf der US-Tour...
FAQ - Presales, FTTB, HCW *READ THIS FIRST BEFORE ASKING* NOTICE: This was written for the last (SBIT) tour. If something changes for this tour, I will updated this thread accoridingly and put an update notice in the thread title
Presales 1) How will we know when the presales go on sale for each date? a) Everyone is notified at the same time, by PM...Private Message. (Note: PMs are NOT Email) READ YOUR PM CAREFULLY! Some Presale codes are good for multiple shows!
2) When will I receive the codes for the presale for my show(s)? a) You will receive the code (again, by PM) within a few hours of the presale time for the show(s).
3) I just signed up and the presale is already going on. When will I receive my code? a) As soon as possible. As presales are going on, codes are typically sent out every hour. However, keep in mind that the Admin is a human, not a robot as previously reported....and thusly does need to sleep on occasion. In order to ensure you receive codes for your presale, it is best to sign up at least a few days before the presale starts for your show(s)
FTT 1) Do I have to have floor/pit tickets to get FTTB? Does my guest also need floor/pit tickets? a) Yes, and yes. You MUST have tickets that allow you to be right up at the barrier, in order to take part in FTTB. If you win, and do not have these tickets, you will not be allowed early access through FTTB.
2) When will the FTTB winners be announced? a) Usually about 7 days before the show, but occasioally later. You will be notified through PM...Private Message. Not Email. Check your PMs often.
3) If I win but don't have the right tickets, can I give my spot away to a friend? a) No, you cannot. Your name will be on a list. You, and only you (along with your guest), can take that spot. If you enter the contest, and cannot take your place at FTTB, then you have just ruined someone else's chance to win FTTB. Do not expect to be able to tell the Admin to draw another name. The Admin is quite busy with a good many things during this tour, and may not have time to draw another name.
4) If I leave my spot on the rail at any time before or during the concert, will my place be held? a) No. HCW 1) When will the HCW winners be announced? How will they be announced? a) Just as with FTTB, approximately 7 days before the show but, on occasion, later than that. You will be notified by PM...Private Message.
2) Do I need floor/pit tickets to win HCW? a) No, you and your guest only need tickets for the concert.
3) Where and when do I go for HCW? a) You will receive instructions through PM (again...not Email) at the same time you are notified that you have won.
Some last little bits of info and advice... Presales - If the presale is with Ticketmaster...sign up to Ticketmaster the day before the presale, so all the important information is already entered. Make sure you are already signed in before the presale starts. If you choose the "best seats available" option, you are trusting a strange computer program to choose for YOU, what the best seats are. If you want seats in a specific section/area...then quickly choose that section and move on. Your code MUST be entered EXACTLY as it was given to you in PM. If you copy and paste from your PM, make sure you don't paste in any extra spaces, as this WILL cause your code to FAIL. Lastly, if you cannot live with the seats you get at first, give them up and try again. Of course, there is no guarantee you will get better seats on subsequent attempts.
FTTB - 60 winners are chosen, and each winner may bring a guest. Some shows may not have FTTB contests, based on seating at the venues.
HCW - A minimum of 3 winners are chosen per show, and each winner may bring a guest. More winners may be chosen for some shows, whenever possible. Be VERY careful with your sticker pass. They can and WILL fall off, if given half a chance. If you lose it, you will not be allowed up for HCW.
Lastly....How do you enter these contests? Go to the very top of this page or any page on ironmaiden.com, hover your pointer over "Fanclub" and click on either "FTTB '08" or "Heaven can wait". __________________

Naja, schon ne Besserung, wenn ich da an 2006 oder 2007 denk, aber eine Vorband sollte schon einheizen und wenn ich da an DT denk, tun die eher das Gegenteil. Passt irgendwie nicht als Maiden Vorband.

ist ja geschmackssache...also ich sage, DT machen gute musik und ruhig sind sie auch nicht unbedingt. ok, ein-zwei balladen haben sie schon im programm aber ich schätze, dass sie ihre setlists etwas auf das metalpublikum ausrichten werden. DT hat nämlich durchaus einige lupenreine metalsongs im repertoire.
mein vorschlag warum macht ihr nicht nen thread aus wo ihr euch über die vorbands wieder auskotzen könnt, OBWOHL IHR NICHTMAL RÜBER FLIEGT
wer hat den überhaupt ernsthaft interesse dahin zu gehen? bin mir am überlegen für wenige tage nach texas zu fliegen aber gesundheitlich siehts nicht so rosig aus

Falls ich Tickets bekomme, bin ich natürlich in Montreal am Start. Da ich im Mai in der Stadt bin, werde ich versuchen um den Zeitpunkt herum die Karten vor Ort zu kaufen. Ich habe Glück, denn anderthalb Tage vor dem Konzert komme ich nach Québec zurück. In den letzten Jahren hatte ich immer das Pech genau zum falschen Zeitpunkt am falschen Ort zu sein und konnte so beispielsweise nicht zum Konzert in Düsseldorf 2007 Dream Theater sind sogar noch ein zusätzlicher Anreiz für mich Karten zu holen. Endlich mal eine gute Vorband! Von Lauren Harris kenne ich fast nichts, soll mir auch egal sein, mit Dream Theater und Iron Maiden als Bands dürfen da auch gerne Tokio Hotel im Vorprogramm spielen, da strübt die Freude nicht

Tickets für Montreal sind gekauft. Mein Vater und ich werden dort sein. Seit gestern on sale, gab es heute schon nur noch ein Viertel der Plätze zu kriegen, also musste ich es per Internet machen, was für mich auch ein Novum war, aber gut über die Bühne gegangen ist... Rund 60 Dollar (etwa 40 Euro) sind als Preis auch okay, dazu kamen halt noch Provinz-Steuern und Gebühren, sodass es bei 75 Dollar pro Kopf lag. Da kann man aber nicht meckern.

The majestic ensemble of Villa Manin, located in Codroipo in the province of Udine, is one of the most important artistic Italian monuments. Commissioned in the 17th century by Ludovico Manin to celebrate the wealth and power of the Manin family, it was the family's country house. At the end of the 18th century, under the reign of the last doge of Venice, Ludovico Manin (1789-1898), Napoleon Bonaparte chose this regal residence as the General Headquarters of the French troops stationed here in 1797 during the Italian campaign. The new order he was later to impose on the whole of Europe was planned here.
